The Aiko Shirt features a delicate hand embroidered floral design at the neckline in ivory, box pleating at the sleeve cuff and mother of pearl buttons at center front. Raw edge detailing at hem and neckline. Made of black organic cotton handwoven fabric.
Handloom fabrics are made using an ancient weaving process created entirely by an artisans hands and feet, no electricity needed. Going up and down, the artisan's agile feet send the wooden shuttles of hand spun yarn across either side of the loom slowly forming the fabric, one row at a time.
Your garment will soften over time. Hand wash in cool water with an eco friendly or pH neutral detergent and air dry. Slight fading of color is a natural change to be expected with items made with these dyes and something we appreciate as part of your garments life cycle. We avoid harsh chemicals that are both bad for the planet and you.
